Definition of VeloBinding

VeloBinding

A process of binding with VeloBind strips. VeloBind strips are made up of 2 1/4" wide plastic strips. One strip has 11 plastic pins or spikes projecting from the flat 1/4" wide plastic strip, and a second flat 1/4" end strip containing 11 coresponding (matching) holes. After the paper is punched with 11 holes, the spikes are inserted into the paper and then the paper and then placed with spikes down into the end or receiving strip which is positioned on a velobind system. Next a clamping bar is engaged to secure th paper and strips while hot metal tabs of metal sear off the excess plastic spikes leaving a clean tightly bound VeloBind presentation.
